Israel Foreign Minister: ‘radical Islam’ behind attack on French railways, but France points to ‘criminal’ motive

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz claims that the malicious acts of sabotage committed across France’s high-speed railway this morning were carried out “under the influence of Iran’s axis of evil and radical Islam.”

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz has asserted that the recent acts of sabotage targeting France's high-speed railway were executed "under the influence of Iran’s axis of evil and radical Islam."

Katz mentioned that he had alerted his French counterpart earlier this week, citing Israeli intelligence, about Iran's plans to orchestrate terrorist attacks against the Israeli delegation and other Olympic participants.

He urged for enhanced preventive measures to counteract these threats and called on the international community to take decisive action against Iran before it’s too late.

French intelligence agencies have yet to identify the perpetrators of the railway attacks, which have caused significant disruption just hours before the 2024 Paris Olympics' opening ceremony.
