JACK COUNTY (1080 KRLD)- Investigators in Jack County have a murder to solve, but this case may be tougher to crack.

Investigators in Jack County have a murder to solve. But KRLD's L.P. Phillips says this case may be tougher to crack.

The death of 25-year-old Roberta Mumma happened in the mid-80s. Her body was dumped near the Jack County town of Wizard Wells where it was not discovered until 1989. Now, through DNA, the identification has been made and DPS Sergeant Juan Gutierrez says the investigation is back on the front burner.

It's a starting point but there is a long way to go. Mumma's last known location was somewhere in Tennessee and it's still a mystery how she wound up in rural Jack County.
