Dallas favorite son Jordan Spieth opens play today tied for first after the first round of the AT&T Byron Nelson.
Yesterday, Spieth and JJ Spaun both fired 9-under 63s at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney with Spieth needing a 55-foot Eagle putt on the 18th green to hold onto a share of the lead.
Chasing Spieth and Spaun are Charl Schwartzel, Luke Donald and Sergio Garcia, all at seven-under.
Brandt Snedeker and Padraig Harrington follow at six-under while Highland Park's Scottie Scheffler is five-under, tied with Rickie Fowler and Matt Kuchar.
