If you're in the JPS Health Network, you could be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine ... even if you aren't a frontline worker.
Starting today, JPS Health is administering COVID-19 vaccines to some high-risk patients, vendors, and family members of employees. Those 65 and older are eligible, and so are adults with chronic medical conditions-- like cancer or kidney disease.
All 350 appointment slots available today were booked immediately after registration opened. The hospital's call lines are flooded, so if you're in the JPS Health Network and meet the eligibility requirements, you'll have to register online for an appointment.
JPS officials say new shipments of the vaccine are rolling in all the time and the plan is to continue administering vaccines on a regular basis.
