A Dallas County judge has had it with a repeat offender who was most recently convicted of impersonating a police officer and raping a woman, all while he was on probation. And now she's sentenced him to decades behind bars so he couldn't offend again.
24-years old Jaterin Tyler of Cedar Hill used-up any of his good will with Judge Dominique Collins. She revoked probation and sent Tyler to prison for 30-years.
At various times, Tyler was arrested for rape, kidnapping and impersonating an officer. In 2021 he pleaded guilty to the kidnapping charge and was put on probation.
But in April of 2022, Tyler was again arrested for sexual assault and once again he used a fake badge to impersonate a police officer, according to court records.
Dallas County prosecutors filed the motion to pull Tyler's probation and the Judge agreed, sentencing him to a 30-year prison term.
