The man convicted of killing a Dallas dentist has returned to the Dallas County jail, where a judge will soon set his execution date for the 2015 murder of Kendra Hatcher.

Kristopher Love was convicted of capital murder for fatally shooting Hatcher in a parking garage in Uptown Dallas. Prosecutors said Brenda Delgado hired Love to carry out the killing in a jealous plot, as Hatcher had been dating Delgado’s ex-boyfriend.

During the trial, Hatcher’s mother, Bonnie Jamison, tearfully recalled the moment she learned of her daughter’s death.

The U.S. Supreme Court upheld Love’s death sentence in 2022. A Dallas County judge will now determine when the sentence will be carried out.
