A kangaroo that went missing two days again has been reunited with its owner in Granbury.
Texas is home to many exotic pets that are kept legally including lemurs, sloths, monkeys, Capybaras (they're big rodents that look like guinea pigs) and spotted genets (which are small cats.) Generally speaking, no special license is needed but you should check with your city or town to find out if there are any local restrictions.
And remember, exotic animals often need a special diet.
While Texas welcomes many exotic animals as pets, there are still many illegal ones to own including lions, tigers, cougars, cheetahs, wolves and bobcats.
