A school in the Keller ISD is switching to on-line instruction because of COVID-19.
Officials with the Keller ISD says Independence Elementary School is transitioning to all remote learning, effective today. Students will not be able to return to campus until next Friday.
Staffers will use that time to sanitize the building.
The Keller ISD's COVID-19 dashboard shows 9 active student cases at the school, which is the largest number of any school in the district right now, along with another 5 active faculty cases.
District officials say one reason for the switch to on-line learning is to make sure they have the appropriate number of staff members for instruction.
