A student has been accused of bringing a gun to a North Texas high school.
Police were called to Fossil Ridge High in the Keller ISD after being informed by a fellow student that someone had brought a gun to school. According to a letter to parents, a student was identified, located and a classroom hold was initiated while police and security teams searched the campus.
The discarded gun was found and that student was taken into custody. The letter praised the student who alerted authorities for his quick actions.
The hold was in place for close to an hour before classes resumed on a normal schedule.
