If you live in Keller and are worried about porch pirates this Christmas, Keller police say to let them handle it.

Every year around Christmas millions of dollars worth of packages are ripped off from porches across the state and nation as porch pirates make their mark.

In an effort to thwart that problem this year, Keller police are telling residents to send the packages to them.

They have set up a new program called Operation Gift Guardians and are asking residents to send their packages to the station at 330 Rufe Snow Dr.

Police say residents can pick up the packages anytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with an ID. They ask that you don't order packages heavier than 50 lbs.
