There is a new warning this morning from Keller police about a phone scam that mentions the city.
Keller Police say they got notified by someone in the city that they had received a suspicious phone call from someone claiming to be a contractor for the City of Keller who was hired to update public records.
Keller police say the city does not have any project like that underway.
According to police, the scam caller asked the individual several questions about their home before the resident began pushing back and hung up.
Police say that city staffers do occasionally contact Keller residents, but they will always identify themselves and give details about the project they're working on.
