If you’ve been looking for a unique night out in Dallas that doesn't involve dodging strollers or waiting in long lines behind school groups, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science has exactly what you need.
We spoke with Chantel Boudreaux from the museum to get all the details on Thursdays on Tap, an exclusive, adult-only event happening every single Thursday evening.
What is Thursdays on tap?
Thursdays on Tap is a 21-and-up event that transforms the museum into a vibrant evening social. The museum closes to the general public and reopens just for adults, packing the space with:
- Local music: Live tunes from local musicians to set the perfect evening vibe.
- Food trucks: A rotating lineup of great local food trucks parked right at the museum.
- Drinks: Bars stationed throughout the museum are fully managed by the Wolfgang Puck team, featuring a special partnership with Community Beer Co. as the event's sole beer provider.
Explore the museum kid-free
Whether you want to race a T-Rex in the sports hall, explore the stunning Gems and Minerals Hall, or interact with the robots, you can do it all with a cocktail or mocktail in hand. There are no children allowed at this event, making it a highly popular choice for friend groups, after-work gatherings, and even first dates.
"We really want to give back and let the community come that maybe doesn't want to be around kids all day every day... it’s a really fun experience." — Chantel Boudreaux
Event details & weather info
- When: Every Thursday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM (The season runs through October 22nd).
