Our App today is called ToS;DR.
Ok, show of hands. How many of you actually read the Terms of Service, when you sign up for something or buy something online?
Normally for most of us, the TOS is TL/DR. Too Long Didn't Read.
We just scroll to the bottom and hit agree, when we have no idea what it is we agreed to.
This app can make it easier to see how much of your privacy you have to give up with different TOS agreements.
It color-codes them, gives them grades, and explains everything about the TOS in the app itself.
It goes through any database data, that services that are indexed.
For example, for Google, it says, "They store data on you even if you did not interact with the service. Your identity is used in ads that are shown to other users. Your browsing history can be viewed by the service".
It grades pretty low in the red. So do Facebook and Twitter. See what you're missing when you don't read to the TOS and just agree to them.
ToS:DR is a free app on iTunes and Android. It also doesn't collect any data on you.
