Lake Worth police have now charged a teenager believed to be the driver of a car that crashed and flipped while trying to outrun police last month.

On the night of February 15th, police report they tried to pull the car over but the driver hit the gas. The chase was high speed but it didn't last long. After about one minute the car hit a curb and began rolling, ending up on its roof.

Three of the four occupants were thrown from the vehicle is at violently rolled. The four occupants were identified as two adult men, a 16-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl. The driver was among those ejected and no one was saying who was behind the wheel.

But now, investigators using forensic and digital evidence believe it was the 16-year-old who was driving and he has been arrested on a weapons charge plus three counts of aggravated assault causing bodily injury.

In the car, police found two loaded pistols and a lot of drugs including cocaine and black tar heroin.

Nearly three weeks later, one of the adult men and the 13-year-old girl are still in the hospital.
