Three north Texas lawmakers are telling the governor to give Tarrant and Dallas counties back their doses.
In a letter from Congressman Marc Veazy, Congressman Colin Allred and Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, the three express concern that the state is withholding around 42,000 doses from the counties this week.
FEMA is setting up mass vaccination sites and bringing their own doses to Fair Park and AT&T Stadium, so the state doesn't believe they need as many.
The congress members say withholding these doses would create an even bigger backlog the counties are now facing because the arctic blast forced the closure of many vaccine sites last week.
