With a holiday weekend upon us, Lewisville Lake Park, including the public boat ramps will be closed because of high water.
With all of the recent rains, the water has run off into the lake, and the water is expected to keep rising with more rain in the forecast today.
Water already covers some roads and trails, making them impassable.
Lewisville Parks and Recreation warns that the high water has changed conditions around the shoreline, submerging signs, picnic tables and other objects.
At Joe Pool Lake, high water has closed Britton, Loyd and Lynn Creek Parks. And at Benbrook Lake, Bear Creek Campground, Mustang Park, Rocky Creek Park and West Creek Circle are closed.
