A Lewisville man has been indicted for five arsons, and officials say he is a suspect in at least eight other fires.
Most of the cases Lewisville police have been investigating are car fires, a string of at least a dozen dating back to July of 2019. But 63-year old Zainul Bandeali was only indicted for three of those fires at the Winsor Court Apartments.
Matt Matucci of Lewisville Police says Bandeali was also indicted for setting two buildings on fire, including the Gomez tire shop on Country Ridge road, and at the Manors at Forestbrook town homes.
Matucci says Bandeali was caught after police began working with the management of the Winsor Apartment complex and a security system was installed.
