LEWISVILLE (1080 KRLD)- A Lewisville High School Ben Harmon Campus student could be facing felony charges for bringing a firearm to campus Wednesday.
Police say the school was placed on a "brief hold" until the situation was under control. Police are not saying how old the boy is except to describe him as a "juvenile."
The Harmon campus is for 9th and 10th graders. In a letter to parents, Principal Joi Cartmill says, "I am grateful for LPD's quick response to resolve the situation, and I am proud of the way our students and staff responded to this disruption to our arrival process."
Investigators are not saying why the boy brought the weapon to school but they do say no specific threats were made. The student was arrested on a third-degree felony charge.
