WAXAHACHIE (1080 KRLD)- Witnesses say a pickup truck was apparently struck by lightning before erupting into flames late last night in Waxahachie.
They describe hearing a loud bang, then seeing the fire engulf the car in front of Waxahachie High School. Onlooker Eggleston pulled out his phone and started recording.
"It's crazy," Eggleston can be heard saying as he zooms in on the burning truck, rain pouring down and sirens blaring in the distance.
The Waxahachie Fire Department worked the scene. Officials have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire.
At this point, it's unclear how many people were in the truck when the fire broke out or whether anyone was hurt.
