Fourteen people were injured Saturday night when a lightning strike hit a canopy they were holding down during severe storms in Tarrant County.
Two victims were rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the others received medical treatment at the scene.
The storms, which swept through Weatherford, South Fort Worth, and Arlington, produced heavy rain, intense thunderstorms, and baseball-sized hail, causing widespread disruptions.
Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, providing care and assessing further risks.
Meteorologists warned that unstable atmospheric conditions contributed to the powerful lightning strikes seen across North Texas.
Authorities are urging residents to seek shelter indoors during storms and avoid handling metal objects or structures in severe weather.
