Little Caesars has launched drone delivery of full family meals at its location in Wylie, Texas, becoming the first pizza chain in the country to offer two large pizzas plus drinks by air.
The service, which went live in late April 2026, uses Flytrex’s new Sky2 drone. The drone can carry up to 8.8 pounds—enough for two large pizzas, sides and sodas—and delivers within a four-mile radius of the Wylie restaurant in under five minutes, with an average flight time of about 4.5 minutes from takeoff to doorstep.
Customers order through the Flytrex app; the order flows directly into Little Caesars’ point-of-sale system. Once prepared, the drone picks up the food curbside and flies autonomously to the customer’s address, lowering the insulated package by cable without landing.
The partnership marks a major expansion of commercial drone delivery for restaurant food in North Texas. Flytrex, a leader in on-demand drone logistics, says the Sky2 has the largest payload capacity of any food delivery drone currently operating.
Little Caesars Vice President of Innovation Trish Heusel called the move “a major leap forward” for convenience, speed and accessibility.
Flytrex CEO Amit Regev said the goal is to make ultrafast drone delivery a reality for everyday families.
Wylie, a growing Dallas suburb, serves as the exclusive test site for now. Residents within the delivery zone can now get hot pizzas faster than many traditional car deliveries, especially during peak hours or in traffic-heavy areas. The launch comes as drone technology gains regulatory approval and public acceptance across the Dallas-Fort Worth region, with other retailers and restaurants exploring similar services.
The program is limited to this single Little Caesars store while the companies evaluate performance and customer feedback.
