Her father says three-year-old Cassity Jackson was shot inside a vehicle in the Fort Worths Stockyards area Sunday afternoon. Her father carried her into the lobby of the Tarrant County jail on North Lamar and from there she was rushed to Cook Children's Hospital where she died yesterday.
Investigators believe the shooting was an accident but so far they have offered no specifics as to who shot her or under what circumstances.
