As we move into the cooler and drier months of the year, North Texans need to be ready for more coronavirus flare-ups.
Local infectious disease expert Rik Heller, founder of Dallas-based Wello, said his company's models are projecting significantly higher COVID-19 case numbers as we move through the fall and into the winter months. Heller said it is essential for residents to continue to follow CDC guidelines on masks and social distancing. He added it is also very important to stay hydrated and drink ample amounts of water as a form of personal protection against COVID-19 infection.
Heller discussed the latest projections, and how COVID-19 could impact the next flu season, with KRLD's Chris Sommer.
