A man is recovering in a Fort Worth hospital after accidentally shooting himself while messing around with a pistol in a moving car.
Just before midnight, reports say a man's girlfriend dropped him off at the Emergency Room at Harris Methodist hospital with a bullet wound in his lower leg.
He told Fort Worth police his girlfriend was driving on Bryant Irvin south of I-20 when he started handling his pistol. As police put it, "he negligently discharged the firearm." The girlfriend was not hurt.
