A Dallas County grand jury on Thursday indicted the man accused of fatally shooting two people at a Dallas hospital in October.
Nestor Hernandez, 30, is accused of fatally shooting a nurse and caseworker at Methodist Dallas Medical Center on Oct. 22. He was indicted for capital murder and aggravated assault of a public servant for the shooting of a hospital police officer.
Hernandez was injured in an exchange of gunfire with an officer and is being held on $3 million bond. The capital murder charge carries the possibility of the death penalty.
He had been in jail as recently as June when Carrollton police arrested him outside an apartment complex due to an outstanding warrant. Hernandez was out on bail at the time of the hospital shooting.
