A man accused of gunning down a woman in Dallas after she was forced to leave the state to get an abortion has been indicted.
Police reports show 22-year-old Harold Thompson is being held without bond for the May 10th murder of his girlfriend, 26-year-old Gabriella Gonzalez.
Police say Thompson and Gonzalez had been dating for four months and had ended the relationship. According to a police report, Gonzalez had recently returned from Colorado where she got an abortion. The report says Thompson was the father of the child and did not want the abortion.
The report says the two had been fighting before thomas pulled a gun and fired a shot.
Mileny Rubio, the sister of the victim was there when it happened. "I heard gunshots and immediately knew it was her and when I looked back, it was her. She was on the floor," she told NBC 5. "I was in shock. I couldn't touch her. I couldn't move. My body froze. I just called my mom and I couldn't even explain to her."
Reports show there had been a prior felony case against Thompson for attacking Gonzalez.
A bond has not yet been set for Thompson. He is being held in the Dallas County jail.
