WHITE SETTLEMENT (1080 KRLD)- A man has been acquitted of all charges in a double homicide in White Settlement.

Christoper Avington was arrested and tried on charges of capital murder and felony murder following the shooting deaths of two men in 2021. His lawyers presented an argument for self-defense because the men who died had threatened Avington with a pellet gun that looked very realistic.

Believing his life was in danger, they said Avington shot them both. The jury agreed and returned a not-guilty verdict after talking it over for only about a half-hour.
