A 79-year-old woman was found murdered in her Bedford home earlier this month. Now, police say they arrested the wrong person in connection to the case.
Police initially arrested Brandon Paramore, 39, but said Thursday they tracked a car near the murder scene to Louisiana and arrested 26-year-old Aaron Pouchie. He faces a murder charge and is awaiting extradition in a Louisiana jail.
"Our thoughts are with Ms. Barsanti’s family, who have been supportive throughout our efforts to bring her justice,” Bedford Deputy Police Chief Bobby LaPenna said.
Officers responded to a call of an unconscious person Friday in the 2400 block of Meadow View Lane, Bedford police said. When they arrived, officers found Christine Barsanti, 79, dead after apparently being struck by an object.
