On Sunday, Cedar Hill Police arrested a 60-year-old man in relation to the murder of a family member.
Police say they received a call from a woman requesting help at approximately 2:02 a.m. on September 12th. On location in the 1000 block of Fieldstone Drive, officers were unable to get a response from anyone inside the house from the front door and so checked the building's perimeter.
Officers then forced their way into the home after hearing noises coming from within. There they found the man, John Clark, laying uninjured on the floor close to the back door. Upon further investigation, officers went on to find a 34-year-old woman dead in the master bedroom.
Clark was later arrested and has been charged with murder, with police saying that they believe this is an isolated incident.
