Seven years after he murdered a Muslim man in an anti-Islam attack in Dallas, a convicted man is now up on federal hate crime charges.
Anthony Paz Torres was found guilty of murdering a man at Omar's Wheels and Tires in Pleasant Grove. At his trial it was revealed Torres thought he was getting revenge for Muslim extremist attacks in Garland and in California.
Torres also shot three other people and tried to run over a fourth with his car.
On Wednesday, a federal grand jury indicted Torres on the hate crime charges. He was sentenced to 35 years in the original case but one of the new charges could result in the death penalty.
