
A man is in the hospital after being run down by an accused drunk-driver in northwest Dallas early Thursday morning.

Just after 1:00 a.m. Police say a man was leaving a bar called The Tin Room on Hudnall near Maple Ave, just blocks from the Dallas hospital district.
While crossing the street, the man was struck by a vehicle and left in critical condition. He was rushed to the nearby hospital.
Back at the scene, police were arresting the driver after giving him a series of field sobriety tests. He was then handcuffed and hauled downtown on multiple charges.
Police have not determined how fast the pick-up was going from the front passenger side was left with heavy damage.
