A man died after stabbing himself with a knife during an encounter with Fort Worth police, officials said.
Officers responded Oct. 12 to a reported disturbance in the 2500 block of Northeast 36th Street.
Police said the man arrived in a vehicle with two flat tires, left it at a nearby business and walked around the property with his dog.
When officers arrived, the man yelled obscenities and displayed a knife, police said. Officers gave verbal commands and used a Taser before the man stabbed himself.
Officers tried to save him, but he died at the scene.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the man at a later date.
