Dallas PD Chief Garcia hosted a press conference Tuesday morning to update the media and public on an officer-involved shooting that took place Sunday.
A man driving a stolen vehicle died after exchanging gunshots with Dallas police officers Sunday.
Reports say police pulled over the stolen car on Barnes Bridge road near El Capitan Drive. But when they approached the car, there was gunfire from inside it and then the driver sped away.
But he didn't get far before losing control and flipping the car. Then the officers approached the wreckage and the driver opened fire again, that's when police returned fire killing the assailant.
An unidentified woman in the crashed car was not hurt.
