A man has been shot and killed by police in Rockwall where investigators say he was connected to a child abduction and a stabbing.
Officials say the stabbing happened in Dallas Thursday night and the abduction was in Fort Worth.
Police say the yet to be identified suspect in both of those crimes is the same man who was confronted by police outside a home in Rockwall just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
Report say the man began shooting and police returned fire, striking the man who was transported and later died at the hospital.
The two abducted children were found safe. The condition of the stabbing victim has not been released.
