A man is in custody following a long police chase from Dallas to AT&T Stadium in Arlington Thursday.

Officials say the chase began when police got a call saying an armed man was threatening "suicide by cop." The caller said the man was in a black Lexus parked right across the street from the Dallas County jail complex. And that's where Dallas County deputies found him.

When deputies saw him, the driver took off, leading them on a chase west-bound on I-30. But this was right at rush hour, about 5 p.m., and by the time they got to Arlington, the traffic was getting pretty bad.

Thinking it was too dangerous, deputies broke off the pursuit. But as they were turning around in Arlington the deputies spotted the Lexus again near the Stadium. So, they followed it again and saw the car pull into the AT&T parking lot, and then saw the man run into the stadium.

He ran out onto Randol Mill where he was eventually taken into custody on some outstanding warrants.

Inside the stadium, police found a pistol which they believe the man ditched before he was arrested.
