A man has been indicted on four federal counts related to allegedly flying a drone into restricted airspace near Dallas Love Field and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
A federal grand jury indicted Pujan Prashantkumar Gajjar on Sept. 16. The indictment alleges he flew a drone across an active runway at Love Field around 11:30 p.m. in late June.
Prosecutors also allege Gajjar flew the same drone into restricted airspace around DFW Airport the following night and operated as an airman without the required certificate.
Federal agents arrested Gajjar on Sept. 22. He made his initial court appearance that day before U.S. Magistrate Judge Renee Harris Toliver.
If convicted, Gajjar faces up to eight years in federal prison.
