Four months after a woman was choked until she passed out at her Fort Worth home, the father of her baby has now been indicted on a list of charges including aggravated kidnapping, assault, burglary and impersonating a police officer.

Officials say Lancelot Dawkins is locked up in Tarrant County on a combined bond of well over a million dollars.

In February, a man showed up at the victim's home, pretending to be a police officer. Police say it was Dawkins who assaulted her and abducted their eleven-month-old baby, touching off an Amber Alert.

Fifteen hours later, Dawkins and the baby were found in New Mexico.

Just hours before the victim was choked Dawkins had been released on bail from another charge of violence against a family member.
