Two days after a man was gunned down in Oak Cliff, police have charged the suspected killer.
Police say Joe Torres is now locked up on a murder charge. The victim was found badly wounded inside a parked car near Elmwood Parkway Park on Rugged Drive near I-35 and Illinois.
He was alive when paramedics took him to the hospital but efforts to save him failed.
Police tracked Torres down at a home nearby but he was also shot and was taken to a local hospital.
When the doctors released him into police custody he was taken to the Dallas County jail on Thursday afternoon.
Police found a woman with Torres and she's been charged with tampering with evidence.
