The search is on for a hit-and-run driver who left a man to die in Fort Worth early Tuesday morning.
Fort Worth Police say just before 2 a.m. a 9-1-1 call came in reporting a man was lying in the street, gasping for air.
Police were sent to the scene at I-35W near Rosedale and found the man was already dead. Police learned he was walking in north-bound lanes of the service road and was hit from behind by a car heading toward Rosedale.
Police say the driver never stopped and police are piecing together evidence from the scene, hoping to learn the make and model of the car.
