Reports say Oakwood Police Officer Mitchell Rector was killed when an Infiniti Q-50 plowed into Rector's car in the construction zone.
The driver of the Infiniti identified as Elias Luevano-Gonzalez was jailed on a charge of intoxicated manslaughter. He remains locked up in the Mesquite city jail.
