A man has died in Dallas at the end of a police chase that began in Grand Prairie.
Just before 1 a.m., police reports say the driver who was being chased stopped in Dallas on eastbound Interstate 20 near South Polk. But police say before he could be arrested he died by suicide.
Police closed down all eastbound lanes for the rest of the night to conduct the investigation.

There's no information on why police were chasing the unidentified man and no indication of why he would take his own life.
As of 5 a.m. the east-bound side of I-20 remained closed.
