A man has been sentenced to 75 years in prison for attacking a Lyft driver at knifepoint in Frisco while planning to kidnap a 13-year-old, according to the Collin County district attorney’s office.
Antwain Karmen Williams pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery in connection with the Dec. 16, 2024, attack.
Police said the driver suffered multiple stab wounds, including a cut to his throat and a severe hand injury. The driver survived.
Investigators said Williams used a fake name to request the ride before attacking the driver and stealing his vehicle. He later crashed the stolen car and was arrested by a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper.
Prosecutors presented evidence that Williams planned to steal a vehicle to kidnap the 13-year-old, who was involved in a separate sexual performance of a child case against him.
A jury sentenced Williams to 75 years in prison. Judge Jim Pruitt presided over the case.
