A gunman is on the loose in DeSoto where a man was badly wounded Thursday afternoon.
Police say at about 3 p.m. gunfire erupted in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven on Hampton at Wintergreen.
Police and paramedics found the victim had been shot more than once but he was still alive so they rushed him to a local hospital. His condition has not been released.
Detectives say they have some leads and they believe this was not a random shooting. But they're not saying why the victim was shot, or who did it.
