A man accused in connection with the abduction of a North Richland Hills girl from a Dallas Mavericks game last year has been arrested.
Dallas police said officers with the U.S. Marshal Task Force arrested 33-year-old Emanuel Cartagena and have charged him with sexual assault of a child.
Reports say Cartagena lured the 15-year-old girl from the American Airlines Center, where she was attending a Mavs game with her father.
Surveillance video showed her leaving the arena with the suspect where Dallas Police say he later took her to a house where he sexually assaulted her.
The girl was rescued ten days later at a motel in Oklahoma City where police say she had been forced into prostitution. That’s where police arrested three other suspects later identified as Karen Gonzales, Sarah Hayes, and Kenneth Nelson for human trafficking, conspiracy, and computer crimes in connection to the case.
