A man is in a Fort Worth hospital after being mysteriously shot Thursday evening.
About 8 p.m. police got a call from the hospital saying a man had been brought in by a private vehicle and he was being treated for a gunshot wound.
Officers arrived to find him unconscious and receiving treatment. Relatives told the police the man had been gathered with others in the soccer field on East Lancaster near Ben Avenue.
Suddenly, the man collapsed and was bleeding from the head. That is when they rushed the man to the hospital.
Police believe he may have been struck by a round fired from some distance away because the slug did not penetrate the skull.
