A Houston manhunt ended in a SWAT standoff in southeast Dallas yesterday with the suspect deceased.

Harris County officials had been looking across southeast Texas for a man named Lorenzo White who was wanted for the shooting death of his ex-wife.

About ten hours later, federal Marshals spotted White driving a vehicle on Bonnie View Road near Silverhill Drive.

Dallas police were contacted and officers tried to pull him over. But White declined to stop and police chased him for about six miles before cornering him in the driveway of a home on Oleta Drive near Jim Miller and Great Trinity Forest Way.

Reports say White refused to exit the truck, just sitting there. Eventually he shot himself, dying at the scene.

Early Monday morning, White's ex-wife was fatally shot at her home in Harris County. The couple's 16-year-old son called 911 to say his father did it.
