A Marine Corps veteran from North Texas was scheduled to have a hearing Tuesday morning in Russia where Trevor Reed has been imprisoned for more than two-and-a-half years.
Reed's parents, who live in Granbury, have been pushing for Reed's release from the beginning but have ratcheted up their efforts in recent weeks with first a phone call with President Biden and then a visit to the White House seeking to have the President intervene in their son's case.
A hearing in Moscow was scheduled before a three-judge Russian appeals court which at one time agreed to set bail for Reed. But the case has since been tied up in the Russian courts with Reed remaining behind bars.
The hearing was scheduled to begin at 2 a.m. Texas time but there's been no word on the result, if any.
