A massive big rig fire kept a stretch of 635-LBJ congested all night in North Dallas.
Just before 1 a.m. an 18-wheeler crashed and caught fire on westbound 635 near Hillcrest.
Dallas firefighters rushed to the scene while police closed all westbound lanes.
Within a couple of hours, one lane was re-opened and then a second was re-opened an hour or so after that. But as of 6 a.m. only those two lanes were open for traffic to crawl by.
The rig was powered by hundreds of pounds of liquefied natural gas which supplied plenty of fuel for the fire.
The cab was absolutely burned to its frame.
Police have not said if the driver was hurt.
