After toying with the thought of running for Governor, Texas native Matthew McConaughey has decided against it.

Sunday night on his Twitter feed, McConaughey explained that rather than get involved in politics, he will continue to use his wealth and influence to support entrepreneurs, businesses and foundations that he believes "are leaders. Establishments that I believe are creating pathways for people to succeed in life."
Many Texans have encouraged McConaughey to run even without knowing what party he would represent, but the actor has never said if he's a Republican or a Democrat.
