The mayors of Arlington and Phoenix have already agreed on a friendly wager over the World Series starting this weekend.

Last night, the Arizona Diamondbacks won the National League pennant, beating the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 7 of the NLCS. Now, Arlington Mayor Jim Ross and Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego have swapped tweets to set things up.

Ross's office suggested the losing Mayor wear the winning jersey to a City Council meeting and treat the winning Mayor to some tasty local cuisine.

"Hurtado BBQ is already in. What do you say?"

Just before midnight, Gallego replied "betting against the Snakes never goes well. I wager some Pizzeria Bianco." So, it sounds like its on.

The Texas Rangers host the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 1 of the Fall Classic, beginning Friday night at Globe Life Field.
